DEATHTRAP at the Ottawa Little Theatre. You have until the 6th to find out whodunnit, and just what it is that he/she did.
HARVEY at the Ron Maslin Playhouse, from Kanata Theatre. Giant invisible rabbits…because, Easter! Until the 6th.
SPANK at Centrepointe Theatre. Spoofy sexy goodness, straight from the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal! 2nd to 4th.
THE EDWARD CURTIS PROJECT at the Irving Greenberg Theatre (GCTC), from the GCTC and NAC. Multimedia thetree so epic it took two theatre companies to produce it. Previews start on the 2nd, show runs until the 21st.
EDMOND at the Carleton Tavern, from Chamber Theatre. Mamet at the Carleton, in a match so perfect even he couldn’t have written it. From the 3rd to 13th!
MERZ at the GCTC Studio. From the 3rd to 5th, a short run of Peter Froelich’s legendary one-manner in a fundraiser for the GCTC!
MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSONS at the Gladstone Theatre, from the Phoenix Players. A nice, light, murder-themed farce from the Phoenix gang. From the 5th to 13th.
MACBETH at St.Andrews Church, Prescott, from Salamander Theatre. Miss this great 3-hander of Mackers last year? Take a road trip to Prescott on the weekend and correct that oversight! The 6th ONLY.
HMS PINAFORE at the Algonquin Theatre, from the Savoy Society. That snazzy new theatre building finally sees some theatre, G&S style! 11th to 13th, and 18th to 20th.
THE LARAMIE PROJECT at the Algonquin Media Studio (building N). The last of the Algonquin theatre arts grad season shows, with this hard-hitting verbatim classic. 17th to 21st, don’t miss it.
THE TAMING OF THE SHREW at the Gladstone Theatre, from Bear and Company. An all-male cast for this one, finally solving the problem of women hogging all the good roles in Shakespearean productions. From the 19th to May 4th.
THE BARBER OF SEVILLE at Dominion Chalmers United Church, from Pelligrini Opera. A little Rossini in your Spring? Why not? The 19th and 20th!
FLYING SOLO, EH? At the Gladstone Theatre. The 22nd only, a night of Canadian monologues from the graduating class from Algonquin Theatre Arts! A great time.
THE FARM SHOW at the Ottawa Theatre School. Featuring the grad class of OTS gangsters, not taking a moment to catch their breath after FALSE ASSUMPTIONS last month! The 22nd to 27th!
COME BLOW YOUR HORN at the Ottawa Little Theatre. I actually forget the synopsis for this one…I certainly hope a horn will be used at least a few times, tho. 23rd to May 11th.
BIG MAMA at the National Arts Centre. The rockin’ story of Willie May Thornton, with Jackie Richardson! The 24th to May 11th.
RIDER GIRL at Arts Court Theatre. Colleen Sutton‘s Fringe hit comes to Arts Court, complete with tailgate party! The 25th to 27th only.

Not to mention new season launches this month for the NAC English Theatre (actually just came from that…post soon!), GCTC, and the MAGNETIC NORTH Festival! Also, bridging the gap between English sand Francais nicely, the PRIX RIDEAU AWARDS GALA will be held at la Maison Citoyen in Gatineau on the 21st! Come for the awards, stay for the dancing!

L’AMOUR EST AVEUGLE at Theatre de L’Ile. You have until the 6th to catch this comedy in the prettiest little theatre in Gatineau!
TEMPS ET LA CHAMBRE at Academic Hall. Director Eric Perron, who impressed mightily with his version of LA VENTRILOQUE, hits the big stage and I can’t wait. From the 2nd to 6th.
CHANGING ROOM at the National Arts Centre Studio. Drag Queens galore! From the 3rd to 6th!
REUNIFICATION DES DEUX COREES at the National Arts Centre Theatre. A somewhat mysterious piece, from the writeup…but now I’m pretty curious! From the 10th to the 13th.
CORBEAU at the National Arts Centre Studio. An amazing looking puppetry-play for young audiences. 24th to 28th.

CRUSH IMPROV…well, I just missed their latest ‘BOUT TIME at the Heart and Crown in the Market, but their final SPOTLIGHT ON… show will take place at the Gladstone Theatre on Monday the 8th, so don’t miss it (Special guest Eleanor Crowder!). And the 20th will see them hosting an IMPROV AWARENESS FUNDRAISER at Arts Court Studio!
GRIMPROV…first show of the month is on the 8th at the Cock and Lion, featuring REQUIEM FOR A DREAMPROV, DJ Helicase, and special guest star Brooke Cameron!

Awesome mini-festival at the Mayfair Theatre with the return of their SILENTS IS GOLDEN series, this time Featuring THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC (5th and 6th) and (the 12th)! Amazing silent films with live music at Ottawa’s legendary moviehouse…who can ask for more?
